5G is an immensely disruptive technology that is progressively deeply transforming our world. We have merely grasped the benefits that 5G will directly or indirectly provide. In this regard, Network Apps are an innovative type of software that allow applications and services to take advantage from 5G Network functionality, leading to very significant benefits in any area. The EVOLVED-5G Service Package offers a bundle of software developments that assist in the production of Network Apps. This course guides you on how to perform a simple and immediate installation of this ready-to-use software, its usage and the different EVOLVED-5G components that are offered (SDK, NEF emulator, CAPIF API Services, TSN Application function, and a basic Network App).

Some technology or programming background is desirable. Although not mandatory, it is beneficial to have taken other EVOLVED-5G Network App courses, or to take them in the future to maximize the learning benefits in this area of knowledge.
Ricardo Marco works at ATOS Research & Innovation department, and he has performed research on wireless mobile networks, software defined radio and network function virtualization. He has participated in European projects related to 5G networks and virtualization.

Regel is a Research & Development engineer at the Universitat Politècnica de València, at the Real-Time System Laboratory. She holds a PhD on Digital Enablers, with an special focus on IoT and interoperability, and she has participated in 5G-related European H2020 projects such as EVOLVED-5G and 5GENESIS. She has been involved in software developments that mixed 5G with Artificial Intelligence and IoT technologies.
